2012 / 2013 Audi RS4 Avant
If you want something that’s very quick but still every day practical; a car non petrolheads will just think is another estate, but those in the know realise is something special, you could do a lot worse than the new Audi RS4 Avant. Audi are out playing at the Nurburgring with the new RS4 Avant, which we expect to arrive in Spring 2012 at the Geneva Motor show. It’s clear from the video that the RS4 Avant gets wider front and rear tracks, the de rigueur set of blistered wheel arches, big brakes, big alloys and the trademark oval tail pipes.

When we get a tease for a new car it’s usually just a shadowy image of the new wonder with all the detail taken away, in case we use Photoshop to bring it to life. Just like the photo (above) we got in of the 2012 Mercedes B-Class. But this teaser photo of the new B-Class is not just a bit of PR frippery, as it comes with a proper raft of detail on how much effort Mercedes has put in to the new B-Class, and just how much is new.
Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge would get over 500bhp
The Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge Concept was actually revealed in photos by Infiniti 10 days ago, but now it’s had a proper Detroit reveal and, although just a concept, it offers promise. Yes, the Q50 Eau Rouge is about Infiniti cashing some of the kudos they get from sponsoring Red Bull, so we get lots about the Q50 being inspired by F1, F 1 flappy paddles, F1 aerodynamics…
But the fact is that the Q50 Eau Rouge does look promising and Infiniti has made a decent fist of adding go faster bits and bobs – including carbon fibre, inside and out – without making the Q50 look silly. But what’s most interesting is that the Q50 Eau Rouge perhaps has the potential to tackle cars like the Mercedes E63 and the BMW M5 if, and it’s still an if, it goes in to production.
